The cab road alongside platform 2 of Edinburgh Princes Street station in 1935. Passengers arriving on a train from the English capital are greeted by friends, relatives, porters, cabbies and chauffeurs.
The locomotive is a Caledonian Railway Pickersgill class 72 'Dunalastair'.
The car in the foreground is an Aston Martin 'Lagonda'. This vehicle is still active in private preservation (2017).
Princes Street station closed in September 1965.
